Licensing Requirements

License Title:



License required for persons to grade cheese by Wisconsin standards.

Applicants must successfully complete the Cheese Grader License exam given by the DATCP, Division of Food Safety before being licensed. The exam is 50% written and 50% hands on demonstration of grading ability. Each type of cheese has a separate exam. Cheese Grader exams will be scheduled by appointment only.
