These snapshots provide an at-a-glance picture of the most recent changes in
the local economies of Wisconsin.
State and Metro Area Industry Employment
Updated once a month. Current employment estimates
produced for various industry detail at the state and the major metropolitan
area level. Data are published each month and are considered one of
the earliest indicators of the state's economic health in terms of
employment. Produced by the Current Employment Statistics (CES) program.
Non-metro County Industry Employment Estimates
Updated monthly. Employment estimates produced for selected industries at a
county level. Developed using industrial trends and a sampling of employers
Plant Closings Mass Layoff (PCML)
Updated monthly. PCML notices filed in
compliance with Worker Adjustment Retaining Notification (WARN) Act and
State Plant Closing law. Data available through WORKnet as excel file.

Large Employers
Updated quarterly. Listing of private/government employers
with 1000+ employment. Sorted by descending employment size (actual
employment is unavailable due to confidentiality).

Occupation
Updated annually. Statewide wages
and employment estimates by occupational levels are from the Estimates
Delivery System (EDS) developed by North Carolina. This occupational data
